Risk taking start with analysis. But have you heard of too much of good things could be harmful? Is it the same with technology? Have the modern technology and the mass of information flooding over the internet hinder us from taking more risks and becoming more risk adverse? Have it impacted our ability to take risks? Have we become more skeptical and fearful thus preventing us from taking a step forward in risk taking?
Now the modern frog story continues with Part 2 ….. and the story evolve with the technology era and fast forward to today’s challenges……. This is part of the story that you have never heard anywhere before, this is original! Question really is: Have we become SMARTER or DUMBER with the technology? Now, the technology had becoming more and more advance and alas, the hearing aid was invented. And this deaf frog, in all his eagerness, had bought the hearing aid. The second race was held to again hold the challenges to reach the top of a higher tower than the first tower. Words of mouth had spread out across the nation that a frog able to reach the high tower. People from all folk of life gathered to see in their own eyes the miracle. And the race began. In reality, the people didn't believe that it was possible that the frogs would reach the top of the tower and it might be one the lucky break and halfway through the races, they are shouting: "What pain!!! . They'll never make it!"The frogs began to doubt themselves and the tower seems so high and IMPOSSIBLE, they can’t even see the top of the tower beneath the clouds!! The people continued: "... What pain!!! They'll never make it! ..." And the deaf frog, which was now, had hearing aids hear all the shouting and comments too. Slowly, he looked up at the tower, and felt that the tower was incredibly high, and while he looking at it, he fell and died……..
Moral of the story: Although technology is good, too much information could kill. Knowing too much makes us more risk adverse and scare to take risks. We need to balance in moderation and sometimes ambiguity is good. Getting all the good information is encouraged to ensure we calculate the risks but NEVER make it a reason to hold us back from our dream. Again, believe in yourself and your potential, and persistency and determination will bring you closer to your dream!! HOLD ON TO YOUR DREAM DEARLY and NEVER EVER LET GO!! Set the goal, take the risks and just do it!!
