Do you Know What Your “booby trap” is? Managing Your Weaknesses and Pitfall Well Before It is Too Late!

How to master the art of managing your weaknesses?

Well, I believe every body has weaknesses? So, stop worrying too much about your weaknesses.

Although for centuries, our cultural has demanded us to correct and develop our area of development, it is actually not the best approach. Even if you spend lots of time to improve it, you can be at best be mediocre by working on your weaknesses or you can be world best by focusing on your strengths.

However, we also believe you need to assess the weakness which could results in your downfall in your life and career! What is your pitfall? Identifying it and managing your weaknesses is very important. We are not saying all the weaknesses, just the particular one which hinder you from achieving your goals and dreams.

Take an extreme example: if you are an alcoholic, and you can’t control your drinking habit and it affects your life, family and work performance, then it is considered a pitfall. You can’t simply ignore it because it can be disastrous to your life as well. In this case, you need to take action to correct it, either by admitting yourself to rehab or join AA support group!

Ok, that’s an extreme case, but in our life and career, we need to assess what can hinder us from achieving our life goals (as part of managing your weaknesses)? Is there something in you which prevent you from achieving your goal?

Of course, fixing it alone can be quite discouraging – you may need support group or family members’/close friends’ support. Join a support group, or get your family members and close friends to rally a support for you. Ask them to hold you accountable for your action. It’s always easier said than done, but don’t give up.

Think about this.

You have identified a lot of strengths/talents and you are on the way to achieve your goal and are close to your goals.Look at the number. One weakness compared to number of strengths. So, yes, you can do it.

Always look at your goal to motivate you. Begin with the end in mind, and always fix your eyes on the prize!
