The Truth to Effective Communication - Simply Use Your Heart to Communicate!
Effective communication is very important in our daily life!

Have you ever been in this situation? You probably talking your heart out over certain topics – and when you look across the room, there are blank faces full of questions marks! You suddenly stop and wonder what could have happen? Why don’t they understand? What goes wrong?Well, that’s we called a communication flaw. The point you want to make doesn’t come across clearly to your audiences. Broken communication can cause serious problem to both work and personal relationship. It never too late to learn how to communicate! We assume everyone know how to communicate since young (ever since a baby learns how to talk) but the plain truth is we never know how to communicate until we stop to listen! A few tips to effective communication are as follows: 1. You need to remove communication barriers.To deliver your messages effectively, you must make sure all the elements of communication are properly communicated. Lengthy, disorganized, or erroneous message can cause misunderstand and misinterpretation. Poor verbal and body language can also confuse the message. Sometimes confusion caused by senders offering too much information too fast and too much. When in doubt here, less is oftentimes more. Don’t go around the bushes, go straight to the point! 2. Always stop to ask questions to ensure the receivers understand the message and at the same level. 3. Ask for feedback from receivers/audiences. Alert on verbal and nonverbal reactions to your communicated message. Pay close attention to this feedback, as it is the only thing that can give you confidence that your audience has understood your message. 4. STOP and Listen. Listen with sincerely and empathy. Really listens and don’t brush off any comments. Receivers appreciate the thought/ sincere gestures. 5. Channel – make sure you use proper channel.Different messages can be conveyed through different channels including face-to-face meetings, telephone and videoconferencing; or written channels including letters, emails, memos and reports. Choose the best method! 6. Audience’s cultural and backgroundUnderstand your audience’s culture, different backgrounds and cultures within your organization, and appreciate diversity within your organization. 7. Knowing your audience: Failure to understand who you are communicating with will result in delivering messages that are misunderstood Remember the truth to effective communication is simple –use your heart to communicate!
